The Hall of Fame Frame

Last week we presented Bob Davis with a framed Hall of Fame mosaic, which now memorializes that special event held at the PPAI Expo in Las Vegas earlier this year. Bob will keep his mementos and we hope will enjoy the Hall of Fame memories for many years to come. In addition to Bob’s frame, a second, identical arrangement is now displayed in our Idea Center. Congrats again to Bob for his many contributions to the betterment of Specialty Incentives and in support of the Promotional Products Industry!

Lunch & Learn Series Kicked Off Yesterday!

On Thursday, February 15 Specialty Incentives hosted our very first “Lunch & Learn” at the Idea Center. The topic, “Apparel in Promotions,” was presented to attending clients by Rick LePera of Cutter & Buck.

Mr. LePera’s presentation included a review of the differences in Product Construction, Fabrics & Styling, and Consumer Brands (like Cutter & Buck) vs. Trade Brands (like Clique).

Specialty Incentives’ Lunch & Learns are anticipated to be held regularly, covering a wide variety of topics that will benefit many of our clients, including an inside look at various product categories such as apparel, calendars, corporate gifts, tradeshow giveaways, and awards as well as themes like Made in America, Protecting Your Brand, Improving Recognition, and Going Green.

Bob Davis of Specialty Incentives will be officially named as a PPAI Hall of Fame recipient, to be awarded at this week’s PPAI 2012 Expo in Las Vegas.

Awarded since 1977, the PPAI Hall of Fame is the highest distinction of honor bestowed by the promotional products industry. It recognizes outstanding contributions to clients, the industry, and to the community.

Mr. Davis has been an active member of the industry for 31 years. Mr. Davis is a past chairman of the PPAI and PPEF boards, and has also served on several PPAI Committees and Councils.

While accepting the recognition, Mr. Davis shares:

I am truly humbled by this professional award; however, it also recognizes the place of regard Specialty Incentives holds with our clients. Specialty Incentives has made a practice of using the word “we” to denote the team philosophy of our business. Therefore, it is “we”, Specialty Incentives, who are being honored for our client service, professionalism, and high ethical standards.

Specialty Donation Nets $30,000 for VOA

On the evening of October 22, Volunteers of America (VOA) held their Round-Up at the VOA Ranch fundraiser for the 30 different service programs VOA operates throughout the state of Colorado. Guests of the event had the opportunity to purchase shot glasses and receive a chance that the glass may contain a piece of jewelry. The shot glasses for this fundraiser were provided compliments of Specialty Incentives. VOA’s donation results were tremendous, with attendees contributing $30,000 in donations for VOA’s cause! Specialty Incentives thanks VOA for the opportunity to provide the shot glasses for this great event and congratulates VOA on their achievement!
